MOVE YOUR BRAND trailers are designed with a strong focus on animal welfare during pig transport.
For starters, trailers are heated in cold weather and pigs can be cooled by a water spray in warm weather. The vehicle’s ventilation air is also filtered by HEPA filters or disinfected by UV-C technology to prevent outside infectious agents reaching the pigs. All our trailers comply with the Danish SPF-system and are approved by The Health Status Management under SEGES.
A clean environment is also key for good pig welfare during transport. An air duct in the ceiling distributes filtered air to the pigs that is expelled again through ventilation openings in the side of the trailer due to the higher pressure of the air. The driver is able to regulate the air supply from the driver’s seat, and an alarm is activated in case of any ventilation issues.
Decks are divided into 4 cabins, each with drinking valves to
supply the pigs with fresh water during transport. All floors are equipped with an anti-slip surface.
The pigs are given ample space in compliance with Danish regulations and the EU Regulation on “the protection of animals during transport”.
